Most stairlift removals take about an hour, with curved or unusual staircases taking a little longer. The process is virtually mess free and your engineer will clean up after themselves, leaving your home as if the stairlift was never there.

Good communication throughout from Joe the Operations Manager. The stairlift was fitted by Steve who arrived on time and was friendly and informative throughout. Senior Stairlifts, after reviewing photo's and measurements I supplied, said they thought they could do the job. Scott arrived on time and ready for the challenge and within a couple of hours the stair lift was in place and working fine, no issues at all. I am pleased with the workmanship that has enabled my partner to safely traverse our stairs.

For stairlifts that can’t be reconditioned, we disassemble them for parts and recycle the rest.

Most stairlift removals are completed in approximately an hour. This can take longer on curved or unusual installations.
No. Your engineer will carefully remove the stairlift and rail, without causing any damage. They’ll also clean up after themselves, leaving the house as clean as they found it.
Once we’re removed your stairlift, we’ll take it away and either strip it down for parts, recycle it, or recondition it so it can be used again.
If we’re able to reuse parts from your stairlift, we may be able to remove it for free.
If we can recondition your stairlift, then we’ll make you an offer to buy it from you. We would make no removal charge if we’re buying the stairlift from you.

No. We would never advise removing a stairlift yourself.
Professional stairlift removal companies can remove your lift quickly, efficiently and with no mess. They will also have insurance, to cover any damage to your home or the stairlift. You wouldn’t necessarily have the same level of cover if you attempted the removal yourself.
In addition, your stairlift may have resale value. If it’s damaged during the removal process it may make it more difficult to sell.
