Can You Rent A Stairlift?
Buying a stairlift is a huge decision and can be an expensive one. Luckily, here at Senior Stairlifts, we have plenty of alternatives if you think you want a stairlift but don’t want to pay full price for a brand-new one, especially if you don’t know if you use it that much.
What Is A Rental Stairlift?
A rental stairlift is a stairlift that you don’t buy outright. Instead, you pay a monthly fee for however long you own the stairlift. This can work out cheaper than just buying a stairlift, especially if you only plan on using it for a short time or aren’t sure if you even need a stairlift.
A rental stairlift is no different than any other stairlift we sell here at Senior Stairlifts. They still function exactly the same and have the same sleek innovative designs that we use for our other stairlifts.
All of our stairlifts are designed to help you with a smooth easy ride up and down the stairs. They are sleek and slim so that they don’t obstruct the stairway and our seats are secure and comfortable to make your use of the stairlift as enjoyable as possible.
Why Would I Need To Rent A Stairlift?
People rent stairlifts for all sorts of different reasons. If you think you want a stairlift but aren’t sure then a stairlift is a great way to try one out. You can try living with a stairlift for a few months and see if it makes a difference.
You may find you don’t use the stairlift, or you might discover that it has become a staple of your day to day life and you cannot live without one. Whatever you choose, our team is always on hand so you can call us and discuss what you want to do next.
In some cases, you may be caring for someone reaching the end of their life and cannot use the stairs anymore. In cases of palliative care, a rented stairlift is a great way to help give your loved one the freedom of movement throughout the house.
How Do I Rent A Stairlift?
With Senior Stairlifts, renting a stairlift is easy. First, you need to enquire either on the phone or through our website. Then a member of our team will help you decide which stairlift is right for you. They will ask questions and get to know you so they can help you chose the stairlift that is right for you and your needs.
An engineer will come and do a survey of your home and assess the staircase where you want the stairlift fitted and maybe do some measurements so we can ensure the stairlift fits perfectly in your home.
Once everything is approved we can fit your stairlift the very next day. We understand that you are letting us into our home and we treat everything with the utmost respect and clean up so your home is exactly how we found it. You can read our covid 19 statement here.
There is no set time for how long you can have your rented stairlift. You simply pay an upfront fee to cover the price of the instalment and the first 6 months of rent. After that you just pay once a month for however many months you own the stairlift.
Are There Cheaper Ways Of Buying A Stairlift?
If you decide you want to keep using a stairlift but still don’t want to pay full price for a brand new one then you can always buy a reconditioned stairlift.
A reconditioned stairlift is a stairlift that has already been used before. We replace any parts that need replacing and put every one of our reconditioned stairlifts through a rigorous testing process.
We don’t sell any stairlift that we are not completely satisfied with and all of our stairlfts, whether they’re brand new, reconditioned or rented, have to meet the same high standard before we install them.
