While some companies may offer stairlift hire, here at Senior Stairlifts, we’ve found that choosing second hand chair lifts works out to be cheaper than getting a stair lift to rent. This is because there are a lot of extra costs when renting a stairlift, with an initial installation fee of £300 to £500 and then a £15 to £20 rental cost per week. Curved stairlifts will cost more due to the intricacy of the rail and having to bend and fit the exact angles of your staircase. So in our opinion, it would be cheaper to buy a used stair lift, which we do offer! Our reconditioned models start from £1,995.
Yes, we actually specialise in tight and narrow staircases. We offer plenty of different models that can fold up to ensure to leave your space empty and tidy. The slimmest stairlift we offer is the Platinum Ultimate, or the Flow X. A slimline stairlift will help save your space, and help you get up and down the stairs even if your staircase is narrow!

A curved stairlift is more appropriate when there are multiple bends in your staircase or intermediate landings. Yes we do, we offer used stair lifts for sale. These are stairlifts that have been lightly used by someone else, and then bought back by ourselves to be reconditioned and repurposed in our warehouse. This way, we can offer 2nd hand stair lifts as a cheaper solution, or for those who may not need a stairlift for long.
