Removals
Here at Senior Stairlifts, we know that unused or unwanted stairlifts can quickly become a problem if not dealt with properly. As well as causing issues for family members trying to walk up the stairs and posing an obstruction hazard, they are large things to consider within a loved one’s home should you make the choice to renovate or sell it.
Our friendly team has had plenty of experience in removing unused mobility products from homes across Britain – ensuring that the bespoke nature of every staircase is in pristine condition long after your stairlift has been removed and that your home remains intact.
Even if your mobility product wasn’t fitted by us, we’ll still come along and dismantle it for you. From simple, straight stairlifts to more complicated curved rail models, we can quickly and efficiently sort any tricky lifting or dismantling without leaving a mess.
Our aim is to help everyone take the next step on their stairlift journey – even when you don’t need your current stairlift any longer.
What happens during a stairlift removal?
1: Get in touch with our dedicated team & let them know.
Our expert team are always on hand when you need a stairlift removal service and there to offer impartial and honest advice when you need it most. We don’t have salesmen with long-winded up-talk: Senior Stairlifts offer practical and speedy solutions that guarantee you absolute value for money.
2: Our experienced stairlift engineers can set to work removing your stairlift.
We typically aim to get one of our technicians to you the very next day. Although its use may have expired, we do this with the same high-quality standard and finish you’d expect upon installation, leaving absolutely no trace of your stairlift.
We also offer temporary removals if you want to spruce up your home and get carpets replaced, but find that your stairlift is in the way. We can easily remove it for the duration of your fitting before reinstalling it exactly as it was with no fuss or mess.
What can I do with my stairlift once it's been removed?
If you bought your stairlift outright with us, then you will have enjoyed all the things that make us shine in our customer testimonials. From our around-the-clock support service and extensive warranties through to our servicing packages, we are proud of the range of options we can supply our customers with during their time with Senior Stairlifts. When it’s time to say goodbye to your mobility solution, there are also a few choices available to you.
You can always choose to sell your second-hand stairlift to us – even if we weren’t your original stairlift provider – with our handy buyback service. We know you’ve likely invested a lot of money into your mobility aid, so it’ll feel good to get some cash back, even if you’ve used your stairlift frequently over the years.
At Senior Stairlifts we can buy back your stairlift and, depending on its condition, give it a new purpose as a reconditioned mobility aid. Even if we can’t accommodate your particular type of stairlift we can still remove it, recycle and dispose of it safely, making this a great green option.
Can Senior Stairlifts facilitate reconditioned stairlifts?
Whether it’s a leading Handicare Stairlift or another brand of UK-manufactured mobility tech, if it’s in good condition it can be sold again – starting a new life as a reconditioned stairlift.
If you choose this option, you will still receive the same fast and reliable service we offer on every removal. We will visit your property and dismantle the mobility aid with no fuss or mess. But instead of disposing of or recycling the lift, we take it back to our dedicated stairlift workshop where we have an array of reconditioned stairlifts in stock, both straight and curved.
All of our reconditioned stairlifts are rigorously tested by our engineers to ensure they are as good as new. We offer a 24 month parts and labour warranty with every reconditioned stairlift, which can be extended to 2 or 3 years. If necessary, any parts are replaced and the stairlift receives a thorough service before going on to help another family in their home, and are fitted by our very own manufacturer trained engineers.
How much will it cost to remove my stairlift?
Here at Senior Stairlifts, if we cannot buy your model back outright, we charge £195 for a straight stairlift removal and £345 for a model fitted on a curved staircase. We are always honest and frank about our pricing, aiming to get you more for your money without having to sacrifice quality or excellent service. This is why we work with easy, flat-rate prices that will never change – unless you’d like to add additional services – so you or your family will never be shocked by a sudden, hidden bill.
Here at Senior Stairlifts, we have proudly helped countless people across the UK get moving with care, quality, and compassion. By using our expertise and eye for detail, we go the distance for our customers. From the moment you call us to the minute we finish installing your stairlift, we are with you every step of the way.
